Transcending Limitations

Resources for Seeing Things Anew

"In the province of the mind, what is believed to be true is true or becomes true, within certain limits to be found experientially and experimentally. These limits are further beliefs to be transcended.  In the province of the mind, there are no limits."

~John C. Lilly

The adventure is not for the timid.  Stepping beyond the boundaries of familiar thought requires both nerve and faith.  But only by stepping beyond your current boundaries of belief can you discover the greater realities that your beliefs have kept you from seeing.

The kind of beliefs that blind us are composed of assumptions we hold about ourselves and about the nature of the reality in which we live.  They're the things we take for granted, the things it never dawns on us to question.  They're our unquestioned certainties about what we are, about what's possible, about how things work.  They rope in the known world and let us operate in it with a certain sense of security.

"Reality's

the Illusion

You're Stuck With."

~Tim Chomas

When we meet with theories or with beliefs that challenge our assumptions, we defend our personal views with whatever weapons we happen to prefer.  We scoff or deride or ridicule; we reason or argue or come to blows, depending on how great the threat to our comfort and stability seems.

But sometimes,

when the gods choose to smile on us,

curiosity and imagination sneak into our thoughts,

and we find ourselves asking,

"What If?"

What if ...reality actually is a mirror of my thoughts?

What if ...I could change my life by altering how I think?

What if ...I could tap into unlimited creativity?

What if ...I discovered that I'm a genius?

What if ...I could learn to reshape my relationships, my finances, and my health with just the power of thought?

What if ...I could be truly happy and filled with genuine inner peace?

The authors you are about to meet agree: your experience of the world does mirror your thoughts and you create, intentionally or not, what you behold in it.

Some of the writers go so far as to say that you are responsible for everything you perceive in the world (How's that for a challenge to your basic assumptions?) and for everything that happens, not only in your own life, but in the lives of everybody everywhere throughout all time.

Others take a less radical view, pointing out that your mind selects what data it will allow into your awareness on the basis of your beliefs, and so as you adjust your beliefs, your perceptions change.

But all agree, each from his or her own perspective, that your ability to shape your life, to influence its direction, and to create deeply enriching, rewarding and joyous experiences is not only real, but limitless.  And all describe their points of view in clear, thought-provoking, even entertaining ways, as they lead you to ask "What if . . ." with new earnestness as the possibilities gleam.

What You Will Find Here and How to Use It

While other sections of Magical Mirror Machine delve into specific skill sets you can acquire and hone to develop and maintain the mindset that's in harmony with what you choose to create, this section focuses on feeding the part of you that wants to understand how and why reality-creation works.
